I believe in the Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
Even more, I love Him. Believing in Jesus Christ is not the same as loving Him. You see even Satan believes in the Trinity. I believe Jesus was perfect and without sin and that every word in the Holy Bible was meant for us to read. Like a song steers us into an emotion, reading the bible draws me closer to Christ. I believe that all my flaws, all my past sins, and all the sins I have yet to commit are and will be covered by grace. The following scriptures support my belief…
Romans 10: 8-10 “But what does it say? The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart. That is the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you proclaim with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
It’s a gift for you and me that nothing can destroy
Romans 8:37-39 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
Requirement or Grace?
God so graciously gave us Jesus to pay for the sin of EVERYONE. We don’t have to sacrifice animals or perform specific rituals to gain access into Heaven. We get to attend the same service as everyone else without restrictions based on our stature or cultural differences. There are no boundaries when approaching Jesus. Unlike the Israelites who needed to go through Moses to communicate to God, Jesus gave us direct access. When we pray, we are speaking directly to our heavenly Father. Church is for the saved and lost, the sinner and the Saint, the widow and the prostitute. We come and He heals. We give him our broken pieces and He restores. Because of Jesus, Grace trumps rules and requirements EVERY time, yet what God desires for us and from us is for our good.
Lastly, I do not take His grace for granted. The closer I get to him, the more I am in awe of His love and mercy and want to please Him. I don’t feel like I can’t do something, I feel like I don’t want to disappoint him. As long as I’m here I will never be perfect or blameless. Praise God for Jesus Christ, the Messiah who saved us all from the sting and eternal consequence of sin.
